Kind of a strange title, but what I was wondering is,do any of you sew for the next season of clothes for kids? After entering the stash contest,I ended up with pieces big enough for shorts and tops. I was thinking of sewing up these short pieces,so I can get my bins truly empty. But! it is winter coming on,should I just sew up the shorts now? If so,would you make them a size larger then what the child wears now? Sewingnonie |

Yes, of course make a size bigger. Go for it.

Well, this has been fun. I have been using the small pieces from my stash to make those shorts, and am putting in elastic, but leaving the seam open incase I need to change the size in the spring. I can't throw anything away,so even though I have only made a couple of quilts,I am trimming the still smaller pieces(scaps) and will use those for a quilt. sewingnonie |

I'm planning to this winter....I'm working my way through my stash and some of the pieces are earmarked for summer clothes. I'm just going up a size or two. Where we live, summer clothes are worn for the majority of the year so I'm sure my daughter will get a chance to wear them. Linda Linda
