You gals don't know what you're missing. This is the best!!!!!! Sandra Betzina is there, Ann the Gran is there, Fred Lebow, Suzanne Hinshaw, Walter Floriani, Bocca Sue Rambo Nita O'Keefe just to name a few. It's fablous. I am already putting in my order for the new machine I want for Christmas. It's the Singer Q 6000. It's fabulous. We are using those to sew out our things, it's a dream. Today we made an Organdy bag and learned all about Stablizers and about Ann the Grans Catalog Express and tomorrow we are making a wall hanging and showdow embroidery. Friday it's closure perfection with Sandra. IT's so much fun. Talk to you ladies when I get through.

I didn't get her so I don't know if she's here but it's is so much fun and so interesting. Sandra is fabulous. We had her class today and she showed us how to make 3 different type of neat buttonholes. Tomorrow we are going to Walter Floriani and Susan K. There is so many names in sewing you would think you are in the Hollywood of sewing. Now to get the funds to buy that new Singer 6000. It has a sliding hoop that will do border after border all the way around a pillow case and more if you had to do more. I feel like I've died and went to heaven.

I am going to get pics of all the people and post them so you can all see what we did and Sandra told me she'd take a pic for me to send to you Mary because I told her about your boards. She loved it and told me she'd be glad to do that for me. Yeah !!!!!!!! I have to hit the hay I have been getting up at 5:00AM every morning and I'm not a morning person. It's midnight right now and I'm dragging. Hugs Susie

:bluesad: Susie, I'm envious. I have a lot of family in the New Orleans area and used to visit quite a lot. Now, I'm confined to a wheelchair and cannot travel. They never seem to have such good shows in the Memphis area. Oh well, I expect a full, detailed report of all that you have learned.
Happy Stitching! Marty
It takes one moment to change a life.

Susie, I love Sandra B. too. She is great. I had the honour of meeting her a few years back. Very happy to sit and chat and so generous with all her knowledge. Her seminar would be 2 hrs. long and she would stand and talk long after that giving us all tips, hints and information. Everyone came away with such admiration for her. She has a wicked sense of humour too. :bluewink:

Thank you very much for mentioning our site, I really appreciate that!

Oh yes Mary you are right when you spoke of Sandra B. She sat with us at our table at lunch and she told us about her family and her life in San Francisco. She told us her fabric stash consist of only about 7 pieces of fabric at a time. Her father was the reason for this, he made her sew her projects before she could get another piece of fabric...............she is still using his wisdom, that's one thing that stuck with her from childhood. She's is also very elegant but on the other hand very down to earth and very interesting.

For all of those who missed out on this one. They are coming back to New Orleans next year at the same time, in October. Please if you can, try and make this one of your dates on your calendar. We are having so much fun. Tomorrow is the big day, the last day, they are giving away a new Singer embroidery machine. Until tomorrow.

It's over with   We had such a great time. I met a lady from Alberta, she is a very nice lady her name is Cheryl. We exchanged email addresses. I told everyone about you all and they are all suppose to come by and say Hi. I'm going to send some pics of the projects we made to Mary so she can share them next time she upgrades the galleries. This is a very nice conference and it only cost 275.00 USD to attend. The instuctors were fabulous and so were all the celebrities LOL. I sure hope all of you would consider planning for next years, you would all love this conference. Later after I rest up the next few days.
