I read somewhere the other day...cannot remember where...that when embroidering, the large eyed needles are better. It said that they put less strain on the thread and do not shred thread. Has anyone tried these needles, if so what is your opinoin.

The only time I used the large eyes is when using metallic threads because there is less friction and breakage.

I only use a large eyed needle when I use metallic's or on VERY heavy fabric.
(denim, etc)
