Which patterns do you prefer for quilting. Do you have a favorite designer or are they old favorites from the public domain?

I'm partial to whats easy and doesn't look 'old fashioned' and/or fussy....
I like the 'new' patterns that use fusable bias between the colors. (and they're not stained glass...but I like those too....)
I like plain fabric and quilts....sorta like I like my clothes....and my house... :bg:

After yrs of quilting and trying patterns from the internet, I have gone to tried and true patterns. Many of my quilts are from blocks. I am doing my first template wall hanging, called the tulip star, for experts. If you really want to learn to cut, sew acuratly, this is one to try. I thought the pattern had mistakes, but it all fits really nice. Good learning one for me.
