I'm making a jacket (KS 3187) that has a lining in the pockets. The pattern calls for "light to medium weight woven fabric". What can I use that will work well with polarfleece?

I would use anything I wanted as long as it was washable. :nervous:

I would look around in the sewing room for anything fairly lightweight and firm that has been washed in hottest water and dried in the dryer, so any shrinking has already been done. Old style doubleknit or polywool would be OK for this, and it would wear well. Any firm weave or firm knit would be fine for these pockets, as long as it was thoroughly preshrunk. You could cut good parts out of old things that will never be worn again as well. I'd really think in terms of materials I already had on hand--------I wouldn't tootle out and buy something to make these pocket lining, but that's just me!

I think , if it was me, I would use a muslin or 100 % cotton or a cotton/poly blend. That way, if you tend to overload your pockets , they would not stretch all out of shape and ruin the looks of your garment.. I tend to put as much in a pocket as it will hold sometimes, so I am very careful about fabric lining that will stretch for pocket linings..Maybe you don't have that problem.. LOL
