I'm currently working on a costume based on a character from a TV show and am looking for some fabric that looks a certain way. I've had no luck at the few shops I've been to locally and was wondering if anyone could help me out with a place I can order some online.

Here's a picture of the character I'm doing (the guy with his back facing us in the foreground): http://www.geocities.com/kawada_shougo5/naruto_zabuza0006.jpg

I need to find fabric that would work for his pants. Light gray with thin black vertical stripes spread pretty far apart. If anyone can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!

I guess if you couldn't find the material you could use a black felt marker( the kind that doesn't wash out) and draw the lines on the fabric before you cut it. Just a thought.

Chrysantha: Thanks, I'll take a look!

Magot: Wow, that is amazing! I've made a Nightcrawler costume myself... not nearly as good as that though. http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=123693

woodywoodpecker: Yeah, I've thought about doing that. I may end up just drawing the lines on there because I doubt I'll find exactly what I want. I'm pretty picky. :bluesmile

Hope you find the fabric - there are a bunch of Trekkies on this site but I've not met an x-man before!

You could always sew a decorative stitch or just a heavy stitch (one that uses a lot of thread) and sew the stripes in that you need.. The stretch stitch comes to mind... IF your machine has one that would be the easiest..The marker idea is OK, but if the costume is to be washed very much, the marker will fade.. Yes, permanent markers fade out in the wash, ask me how I know this for a fact..LOL..
