Hi everyone! I am fairly new to sewing and loving it! My question - has anyone made one of the popular rag quilts out of cotton??? I have made one out of flannel, but wondering if cotton would be o.k. to use. If so, I have decided on yet another perfect Christmas gift to make for a good friend!! Thanks for your time and input, and Happy Sewing!

You can make them out of cotton, but unless it is a loosley woven cotton, it won't "rag" much. Try using homespuns. Those fray nicely.
