I hem a lot of jeans for family & friends. The orange thread they call jeans thread is the weight I'm looking for but not the right color. I need more of a taupe color in that weight. You think upholstery thread would work? |

I suppose it will if you can get it through your machine. How about topstitching thread? |

My thought exactly. If you can find topstitching thread to match, go for it.

You can also double your regular thread -- just wind off an extra bobbin of that color, put it on the spindle with your spool, pull the ends of both out and thread your machine as if it's a single thread. Did that make sense?!? |
