Here is what i have come up with for the next 6 months, i hope there is something here for everyone :nervous:

this is a fat q swap, in 100% cotton fabrics. you must sign up with me EVERY month (will not take names for 3 month in advance) i will have a new thread started for each theme as the month gets closer, and on that thread is where you can sign up. i will send you the list of people signed up and then you will send to those on the list. i like to keep the groups to 12 or less, but there have been times when it has crept up to 14 or so, depending on the theme. you can e-mail me at <email address removed for privacy> if you have any questions

carman

January- Flannels- bright and cheery, NO PASTELS (these squishies will be heavier so postage may be higher)

February- Reds (getting that valentine feeling)

March- Repro's (as in 30's-50's, NOT civil war)

April- blue with white or white with blue (like the black on white)

May- Flowers

June- Stars or Stripes (a month early for the :USA: , think of it as a head start  and they don't have to be red, white or blue (for us non-Americans :Canada:

No! I've just got so much on my plate right now with swaps and Christmas coming that I don't want to think about future swaps!

Just another excuse to buy more and more and more fabrics. They all sound great to me Carman. I will be watching for the time to sign up for each of them. My fabric is bought and washed for this months swap. Couldn't bear to part with any that I have. (Hope it is supposed to be washed. I wash and iron all my fabrics as soon as I get them.) Hope to get it in the mail to everyone tomorrow. Susan

Hi! I am new to this site, and new to quilting.. I definitely would enjoy doing a swap at sometime, but know nothing about this.. I am sure you have explained the Do's and Don'ts, but could you fill me in or let me know where to go, so I know what is Okay, and what isn't. Thanks for your help

Hi Teacheraid95! Welcome aboard. I'm fairly new too but have done a couple swaps on this board. They are always fun and great ways to make new friends. For this fat quarter swap, check out Carman's original post on page 1 of this thread. I Just finished a scavenger hunt swap where we were assigned partners, had a list of items to find and a rough $$ amount to stay within. You shop, package and mail. Really as simple as that and I have found throughout these swaps as well as others on a different craft board I belong to, that you can do as much or as little as you want within the defined boundaries. For example, one of the items was a snack for my partner while sewing. Well I bought some licorice (her favorite kind) but also added tea, cocoa and a cup that I had already so enhanced the package but really didn't cost me anything. But...I DID NOT have to send the extra-just wanted to and no one would have been upset if I had not. I find the swaps to be great fun and an excuse to go shopping! LOL Plus I do find that they get easier as you do them. In the beginning you try to follow the rules exactly, ie: one item means one item. Later you loosen up a bit and if you have something extra you send it but it is never ever expected. Hoped I've managed to clear some of this up for you. I'm certainly no expert on these swaps but think I've got the gist of it.

Again, welcome. you'll find a wealth of information here!
