Hi all! I have a question about a Neue Mode pattern. The instructions say that the seam allowance is not on the pattern. I'm sure this is a no-brainer but my question is this: do I need to trace/mark that allowance in before cutting? Dang, I feel so ridiculous asking! It makes sense to do the marking, but I thought maybe I'm missing something. BTW, I love this brand--so far. The pattern paper is sturdy and easy to work with, the instructions and illustrations are crystal clear. I'm sure once I get going, it'll be a breeze.....uh oh! Did I just jinx myself?? Here's what I'll be working with: Skirt (http://www.neuemodestil.de/datenbank/Details.php?id=22433) Has anyone else had any experience using Neue Mode? Any advice, tips, tricks to pass on???? Thanks in advance, everyone!! *It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy*

I would personally mark the seam allowance on , am not too good at eyeballing it when I cut. I'd likely add paper to the pattern and mark the seam allowance right on the pattern. Personally if the pattern doesn't have the seam allowance marked on it I wouldn't buy it unless I just couldn't live without it. |
