It has been a while since I have posted. I'm hoping someone can help, but realize this is a long shot. I'm working on a project, and of course I'm in a time crunch. I have read this pattern & studied it so many times, but still can't find my answer. I'm going to call the pattern company in the morning, but was wondering if anyone else had any insight. Any help is greatly appreciated! I'm working on McCall's 3704, home dec. I can't have yet to find in the pattern how wide my side panels are supposed to be for view A. Without looking at the pattern or picture, it is just side panels that hang down from under a valance. Pretty simple, & I should be able to figure this thing out. Any suggestions? Thanks!! |

Ok - went & read the pattern one more time (sixth, seventh, twentieth time is a charm). Figured it out. The width is however wide the fabric is, minus the selvage. |

Isn't it amazing how sometimes when we stop and take a break from the problem, when we come back it stares us right in the face! Glad to hear you figured it out. I have a few things in the bottom of the closet that I have to retry one of these days!

Hi Bridesmom, It's called the 'incubation effect'(or something like that). When I was in university, one of my friends was conducting an experiment in it for one of her psych classes. It was a long time ago, but I remember because I was one of the participants...it is amazing! Take care,
