Okay, I have read where some of you will reinforce your patterns with wax paper. Somehow you iron it to the pattern? I have tried this and it does not stick. Is there a trick to doing this or am I using the wrong stuff to try and reinforce it with? |

Are you turning on your iron ?? Are you sure you are talking about waxed paper.. Cut-Rite waxed paper, like lunches were wrapped in, in the old days , before plastic wrap and baggies??? The iron melts the wax a little and it sticks to whatever it is touching..

Maybe it was supposed to have been FREEZER paper ??? (it's shiny on one side and can be ironed onto fabric or paper..shiny side against the paper pattern) It's waxed (hence the shiny side)....

Maybe that is the answer.. I just answered about waxed paper because I use it in my sewing room for several purposes.. to give a little more substance when I am sewing lace together. (tears away without pulling at the thread.) and always to clean the Iron of any gunk in case i have an accident and touch the iron to the wrong place..Freezer paper sounds more reasonable for that purpose to me..
