I joined my first fq swap and really enjoyed it and would love to do more but I am not a quilter (I do crafty things with my fq's), so I can't do the scavenger hunts. Is there any interest here in swaps or scavenger hunts that are not quilting based? Gina

| Gina, fyi, we have had non-quilters in the scavenger hunts before - you just have to let us know when signing up and your partner would agree to do non-quilty related items! |

Shari, All the Scavenger Hunts I have been watching included a quilt block so I just assumed non-quilters wouldn't be welcome. That's what I get for assuming.  I am interested to see if there are others out there besides me interested in swaping more general sewing type stuff. Gina

Gina, I was tired of struggling to get a decent block, and that is why I passed the current scavenger swap and did not join it.. I am a sewer and crafter and do little or no quilting.. I would love one that had no reference to quilting..

Glad you posted this - as this was in the Quilting forums before the board got wiped out, I always geared everything in the hunts toward quilting. BUT, the summer swap did not require a quilt block, just something sewn! If you non-quilters want to join email me and I'll see if we can work something out! |

OK we are getting the ball rolling on a non-quilty swap.
