Greetings.

I am absolutely new to any form of sewing and my husband just bought a BERNINA 1090S machine off an expatriate colleague of his for our use. The one problem is that the current manual is in Dutch.

Can anyone help me with a scanned copy of the machine's manual in English? Better, reference to a site where I can download it for free is also OK.

Deep regards.

I think, that if you have a quality product like a Bernina, you should be willing to purchase the manual to go with it.. You would not buy a top of the line car without knowing how to drive , would you?? I don't mean to sound ugly or anything, but I believe you need that manual , above all..

have you gone to Bernina.com and checked on their site to see if you can either down;oad to manual or order it from them directly? If they don't have them then try doing a Google search for Bernina sewing machine manuals, then check to see if they have the model # for your machine. I know that I was able to do the later to find the missing pages for my mothers old Sear/White machine.
Good luck.

Well, the good news is that the manual is still made. The bad news is that because it is still made you can't download it directly from BerninaUSA.com. However, the part number is 0069195204 according to the Bernina Generations portion of the site. I understand that you can call any Bernina dealer to have one ordered. If you don't have a list of local dealers you can find a list of dealers in you state by going to the OESD site at Embroideryonline and following the steps at the dealer locater:

I thank you all for your time and attention. Points taken.

Leapfrog Libby, I do not think you are being ugly. It is nice to see we both agree the Bernina is an awesome piece of machinery.

Deep regards.

Maimuna, welcome to Sew Whats New. :bluesmile

With such an excellent machine, a manual would be a must.

I saw this listed in one of the other forums. You might try there although they seem to have only old machine manuals.

I'm looking for info on the Singer 132Q. Anyone have one who can explain what the stitches are?

Thanks,
Kathy :bang:

I don't know much about the Singer Machines but this is a wonderful site with discussion board. You might find what you need here. There is some really great information about the history of the Singer here as well!! I like to visit this site and just read some of the information here.
