Does anyone else out there have one? I have one and I am having the hardest time with the stupid thing. The arrow keeps going somewhere else on the screen, so I make sure that I am not lifting the crazy thing up when I use it, or it will not go to where I need it to go!!! I can't use it with a mouse pad, it has a mind of it's own. I have checked the setting for it, they are okay. I just can't use the crazy thing!!
Is there a trick to it that I am missing?

It is important when using an optical mouse to do it on a solid dark coloured surface and to move the mouse at a constant rate of speed.

Make sure the transmitter for your optic mouse is located so that the mouse is picking up a continual, consistent signal. If not, you will always have one "crazy" mouse. Ask me how I know. I finally got mine situated and if DH sits down at my computer the first thing I say is don't touch the mouse transmitter.

So far the only way that I can use the crazy thing is without the mouse pad.
for some reason it just doesn't like the dark green or the texture of it. Now my son can get it to work with it but I can't. Have been making sure that I don't push it to fast around the desk, it has helped some........

Don't feel so bad sewhappie, I have one and it's going crazy also. I just have to remember not to lift it up I must have a habit of doing that because it goes crazy on me too. I have mine on a black mouse pad. Just a plain generic one from Wally World.

By the way, I have a friend who is from Ohio, Mineral City. Her Mom owns the only restaurant there. Is that close to where you are?

The very best surface I've found for an optic mouse was light-colored blue jeans. I had a cut-off leg from a project and put it on a book, put my mouse on it and it LOVED it.

M-I-L,
Mineral City is about a 30-40 minute drive south of me, I am a southwest suburb of Akron, Ohio. We go by Mineral City exit on I-77 on our way to Gnaddenhutten, Ohio ( Ge-nad-in-hut-tin) where my daughters fiance is from. This is the home of the oldest Moravin Protestant Church in the United States, settled by German immigrants.
