I have a picture of a quilt that I saved on my computer and I have no idea where I got it. I'd like to make this quilt for my oldest son. I'd like to know if this square has a name so that I could do a search and see some other examples of it and get some ideas on how the quilt looks done in different colors. At first glance it looks like a log cabin quilt..except each square is made from just 3 wide strips. That's it. Everyone other square has the stripes going up and down...and then side to side. I love the look of this quilt for a guy and it looks like it would be easy to make....which is good cause I'd like to make it for Christmas. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks... |

Hi Mudpuddle, I think you may be referring to a rail fence quilt. See here: http://quilting.about.com/library/01lib/bl01_railfence-gallery.htm Take care,
