I've been sewing like a madwoman to get my niece's doll clothes all done, because I have to borrow the doll to try the clothes on from a friend (who is incredibly over protective of this doll). But they are all done.
And here's what is hopefully a link to the pictures (I've never done this before, so I'm hoping I've done it right).

And, this particular dress, I don't quite like, so any suggestions on what to do, would be great:

That's what I was afraid of, I'll have to post to see if anyone knows how you make it public so anyone can look at them. That, or maybe I'll try webshots......

Okay Mary, I got it all fixed, now I know how to make it public, so you should be able to go them and see it all.
I'll repost the link in case it is being unhelpful.

Well, the link is longer, so thay looks promising...... :nervous:

Here's the one I'd like advice on:

To me it looks too big for the doll, the neck opening for sure. Perhaps you could take the ribbon edging off the neck and gather it some more? Can you make the sleeves any shorter and take it up a bit? Mary is the dolls clothes expert. If I was a little girl and I got a mountain of dolls clothes I would be so excited - well done.

Very cute! My favourite is the green bibbed dress.

I was thinking along the same lines as Magot(oops, spelled it wrong the firsttime)...gather the neck a little more, and shorten the sleeves and skirt. If you have a narrow elastic, you may be able to add it to the neck as is...that way it would be gathered, but still stretch over the head, if necessary.
Take care,
Donna

That sounds right to me. It's amazing how you can look and look at something and never figure out for yourself what is wrong with it.
