[COLOR=Navy]Do you have a picture of the quilt or the colors that will be in it? How big will this quilt be, and any information you have would be appreciated. Thank you. KLT

Hi, no I don't post a picture as it takes away the fun of what is to come for the next month. I am just now experimenting with 12" or 15" blocks and there will be 12 blocks total. I would like to suggest scraps as it uses up nicely for these type of quilts. :)

Hi,

I am new to quilting but I have a question. Isn't there a way that you can patchwork a quilt by sewing patches on a quilt that has designs on it. In other words you sew the patches in the design areas. If so, what type of material do you purchase for this?

Yes that is possible. What kind of patchwork are you talking about? like an applique or something?

What I am referring to is sewing scrape pieces onto fabric that have designs already on them and you just sew the different color scape pieces onto the designs. That kind of fabric do you do this on.

Oh ok, what you are referring to is applique. There are a few different techniques to this. In my beginner lessons I do have one form of applique that you can use for this purpose. Some call it fussy cutting when taking a design off the fabric and putting it on another, alot of fun. Most quilters use cotton but of course can be done with any fabric. Some need a very lightweight interfacing to hold its shape when applying...hope this helps.
