I want a new sewing machine :bg:

My machine is one my grandmama left me that she bought in 1960 :whacky:

While it still sews beautifully and has lots of options ( it was THE machine in its day  ) I want to be able to monogram ( initials and names and sayings ) and would love to embroidery ( would be a pleasant option but not a must a this time )

I have no clue as to what kind or model.
Time is an issue with Christmas coming up so I am looking for ya'lls suggestions.

I would like for it to be in the $300 to $500 range till I can do better.

Thanks in advance.

Ya'll are a great bunch and I am so glad I found this place.

Nece~

I just purchased my first sewing machine tonight. I have a thread on this board talking about what I was looking at and what I ended up buying.

Might want to think about checking it out...it is in your price range. It does have the pretty stitches and even does the alphabet!

Good luck in your hunt~Let us know what you get!
