Hi
can anyone tell me inexpensive place to buy quilting tools, espacially rulers, angles, triangles and fabrics. I was looking online but with shipping the price again becomes prohibitive for me. Anyone got any idea would really appreciate because i am really low on cash :bg: :dave: So would apprecaite if anyone can give me good money saving tips for quilting and sewing.

You can make your templates out of Mylar, at least until you can buy the nicer ones that you can cut with a rotary cutter. I've even used cardboard in the past. Just be careful & remeasure once in awhile to make sure it's still true. If you have a yardstick or 12" ruler that will work for most stuff. If hubby has a T-square grab it ( or borrow ) as that's great for straightning fabric. Regular large safty pins will work until you can get whatever you want for pinning the layers to quilt,or you can just baste stitch the layers. We were born & raised in Missouri, about 70 miles from St Louis going south. Are you anywhere close to there ? It's called Park Hills now but was Flat River, Farmington & etc. Good luck on the quilting.
