I just had my new furniture delivered after waiting for over 3 mnths...IT'S NOT WHAT I ORDERED....it's a sectional and it's red, but it doesn't look ANYTHING like what I sat in, in the show room...it doesn't look like the picture in the sales book...it doesn't even look like the chairs I sat in in the show room (supposedly the same style)....to say the least I'm mad... it's a good thing all the charity trucks weren't picking stuff up today and my old stuff is in my neighbors garage, otherwise I'd be up a creek..(with no furniture....) I had this terrible feeling ever since I ordered it, because the sales person kept putting me off, saying it was going to get here and then she'd say the recliners are on the way too...I NEVER ordered a recliners....the last time I said are you sure you have the right furniture ??? Because I didn't order recliners and I DID order a chair/ottoman, along with the sectional.... I'm tired now.... Chrys

Chrys, that just stinks - did you take delivery or send it back? If you kept it , be sure not to spill anything on it or they will get cranky about returning it.

Chrys, I can relate to your story. DH and I ordered recliners months ago, and they still are not here. We were told that we would have them right after Thanksgiving, and here it is Christmas and still no chairs. I called the store last friday, and they said that the company had been out of one of the fabrics that we had ordered. The chairs are made and will be shipped directly. Yeah, right.....

heck yes I sent the darn thing back....I'm not being held responsible for damage that might happen to something I didn't order OR want... On top of that, my new entertainment unit is warping...yep the whole thing is bowing from top to bottom....had to call ANOTHER furtniture store today to complain about that....you'd think if you spent thousands of dollars on NEW, CUSTOM furniture, you'd actually get what you order and get something that lasts MORE than a month. I called my sister and she said....stuff like this only happens to you...it's been one W E I R D year.... I'm hoping 2005 will have less weirdness....::heavy sigh:: Chrys

Chrys, I too can relate to that & it's awful. The last time I ordered a new couch I had to wait quite awhile & it came all messed up. I sent it back but had to wait on my money. Did get it back . I was so disgusted. It all worked out in time but bought from a different place. Hope you get what you want real soon. |
