I would like to ask you to remember my brother in your thoughts and prayers.. Frank had emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage (scar tissue, a bad kink and a perforation).. He has done OK, I guess but he is in the surgical ICU and I am rather concerned.. They suspect a collapsed lung, but cannot tell for sure ???.They say you are supposed to feel air under the skin but they don't find that, thus the doubts. I have been running ever since last Wednesday, and did not get my Christmas sewing finished, of course.. But family understands..On top of everything, he is always a bad patient... (most men are) I have a bug today, so I'm staying home... I hope to be back on in a few days..

I'll keep your family in ny prayers.
My BIL just got out of the hospital on Friday. Something is blocking his food from leaving his stomach. The opening they made last summer when they had to block off where his cancer is isn't blocked but they can't scope any farther than that so they will be doing a dye test this week to see if they can figure out what is wrong. He went in last weekend with the hiccups that wouldn't go away ( this is the 3rd time he has been in for this) The medicine they gave him made him nausious & he couldn't keep anything down. He can't eat much because last time he was in the found a bleeding ulcer & they had to staple his stomach to keep it from bleeding. he also has a blockage in his bile duct that has been bypassed but the tube keeps getting clogged & they have to clean it out often. Sometimes he looks so jaundiced it is scary. He is only 60 yrs. old & has taken very good care of himself always in for yearly physicals, eats right exercises, doesn't smoke,or drink. He has lived by the 10 commandments & has always put other people first. I hope everyone can find a little extra prayer time for him. This is really hard on our family right now since we just went through all of this last yr. with our Dad.

Just found this post. My prayers are with you too Libby. The holidays are always dim when a loved one is sick. Take care of you also and let us know how things are going. Hugs Susie

He is supposed to be released today or tomorrow.. Haven't talked to him yet.. Cannot get an answer on his room phone.. I sure hope it means the room is empty.. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, everyone.. I am glad to get back to a stage of somewhat 'normal'...
