Went to see it Sunday with DSis and DSon. The place was sold out and every seat filled. The music is great, you could hear people humming parts of it!!! LOL. The organ parts gave me chills. The costumes are just BEAUTIFUL to see. Minnie Driver was great in her role as the Diva, better than the actress' in the stage version!!! She also sings the song over the credits at the end. I enjoyed it, though I have to say that Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman will ALWAYS be my favorite ones in the roles of Phantom and Christine. This will be a DVD for my Christmas list next year.

I just saw it yesterday and it was wonderful! I hadn't heard any reviews of it and was worried about what the music was like, but it was very well done. They really upped Raoul's character so he's much more likeable and proactive. Christine's voice is amazing, and she had an amazing range, I almost think she has a better range than Sarah Brightman..... The Phantom's voice wasn't quite as good as Michael Crawford, but his acting range was great and he did an amazing job and it was very cool to see.
Me, I always feel sorry for the Phantom at the end of the show. It's hard to watch it and not feel sorry for him. Oh well, it was a phenomenal movie, and I can't wait to get it on DVD.

Good to know that people are liking the movie version. Dh and I are wanting to go but I was not about to waste a sitter for 3 kids on a movie that stunk! :bluewink:
