I came across this Toronto lady's website - boy is she prolific! Has anybody ever had a go at this type of work or colourwashing? I'm interested in trying something a little whacky or at least more comtemporary. Any other inspirations out there?

Go for it Jan, it looks awesome to me. Love to see the results. Don't hesitate, do it, I love the look, it just isn't me.

These are good http://davidwalker.us and http://rickytims.com

Instead of other artists though, I prefer to find my inspiration from life. Pretty scenery, snow, autumn leaves, children, politics, social issues, religious beliefs and even laundry can all inspire quilts.

Oh, WOW! How do they take care of something like this? If you hang it on the wall it must collect dust and whatever.............but they are meant to be looked at enjoyed that way, and it seems like the texture would be lost if they were under glass. Thank you for posting this, I looked at them with awe.
