The holidays are over. Everything is back in it's rightful place and our daily lives will continue on. Hopefully you have had time to sit down and relax. What is in store for us all do you think?

The tsunami tragedy is a world concern and we will be hearing about that for a very long time. You do not realize how lucky you are until you see some of the very graphic images they give you on the news every day. They need so much help, it's almost too much for the human mind to grasp. Donations are pouring in from every corner of the world.

The loss and grief is another issue. Survivors have lost their income, their homes and most importantly their families. I can't imagine the sheer pain they have to endure in the coming days. My heart goes out to these people. There is no solution to grief. Only time can soften the terrible loss these people have experienced. The human spirit has indeed been tested to its absolute limits.

Perhaps our goal for 2005 should be to reach out and help someone who has touched our lives. Maybe this is a wake up call to us all.

In 2005 I wish you all continued happiness, love and good health.

Mary,
You are so right. I believe this is a wake up call for all of us. I have watched the news everyday, mostly as a reminder to what blessings we have and as a reminder to make every day count. Every time I watch the news I have tears in my eyes and feel for the families that have lost so much. Parents are standing by the waters edge now hoping their children will come back. The after shock of what has happened has hit home. A good friend of ours left Thailand a few days before the Tsunami hit. She is in shock just thinking of what could of happened. She came home for the holidays and cannot fathom what awaits her when she goes back.
