I Just Got Back From Two Dealers I First Went To Baby Lock The Gentleman There Was So Nice And Helpful I Almost Bought The Ellure Cause Thats What He Had In Stock But I Really Like The Features Of The Essante He Quated Me 1,000 For The Ellure; But Didn't Have A Price For The Essante. Does Anyone Know The Going Price For That One? Well, Then I Went To Janome I Felt The Man There Was Really After My Money And Not Really Trying To Help Me. He Quated Me 2,000 For The Mc9500 And 1,300 For The Mc5700 . If Any Of Those Two I Liked The Mc9500. Is This A Reasonable Price? Also Which One Of All Of These Do You Guys Recomend. I Need It For Embrodery/ Sewing/quilting?????
Thank You

I have the MC 9000 Janome. I love the machine but the dealer is the same as yours, wanting money. If you are not satisfied the first time you go into a dealers shop then don't buy from them. It only gets worse when they get your money. With the Jamone you have to buy their box to download designs. I don't know about the others. That all makes a difference because it's all extra's you have to buy and it's not cheap. My box cost 400.00. Also my sewing field was only 3.5 X 4.25 inches so watch that too you may want a bigger sewing field. hope this helped

The Esante is selling for about $2500.00 here. You can usually get them down a little from that. I was just out looking at them today and also looked at Janomes. I had never seen an actual Janome or tried one out. I was not impressed at all. I guess I expected more somehow. I like the Babylocks and Brothers a lot better. The Esante/PC8500 is a very nice machine. So is the Ellure, :) I have the PC6500 which is the same basic machine..just a few differences. They are selling for $999.00 here.

thank you for the info. I would defenitly not buy from the janome dealer. I had no idea the extras would be so expensive. I would continue to look into the baby lock. I would also look into the pc8500.
Thanks again

In my personal experience, the Babylock and Brother machines, which are essentially the same, are among the easiest to use...The Janome machines are excellent machines also, but I don't think they're quite as user friendly as the Brother/Babylock...

just my 2 cents...

Liz.. I have the Brother ULT 2003D, which I believe is the same as the Ellageo... Whatever you decide, I would tell you to go with the biggest stitch area you can afford, since that seems to be the biggest thing that prompts people to decide to upgrade their machines... Ipersonally started out with a 4 x 4 stitch field and knew within a month that i wanted a bigger stitch field...

just my 2 cents...

I have 2 Janome machines and have found both to be very user friendly and easy to use. Janome is a great brand and in my experience, very little ever goes wrong with these machines. Perhaps you found a dealer who wasn't a very good dealer--is there another Janome dealer in your area? I am sold on the Janome brand and have been lucky with my dealers so far, although I did run into one dealer who was rude to me last time I was in her shop and as a result, she lost a sale, and my business for good.

The Janome machines are expensive, but in my opinion, they are worth it. I think you know what your sewing embroidery needs are and can find a machine that will be the right "fit" for you. You can also go to the Janome website and check out all their machines. I have the Janome Memory Craft 8000 (which is now old technology) and the Janome Memory Craft 10000. Both are great machines and still sew and embroider beautifully!

With my 1000 I can download embroidery designs directly from the computer and then transfer the designs to my machine, either by hooking the maching up to the computer, or by putting it on a card (brain doesn't want to come up with the right word this morning). I don't have the software to digitize designs yet, but that is going to come way on down the road. For Christmas, I downloaded lots of designs and then transferred them to my 10000. I could reduce or enlarge the designs on my machine and I did that with several designs in order to make larger or smaller pillows. All of this was very easy to do -my goodness, the 10000 practically talks to you! LOL

Good luck with whichever machine turns out to be the right one for you.

I forgot to mention that 2 hoops come with the 1000--one regular size and a larger 5X7 size. You can also purchase the Giga Hoop, which allows you to do very large designs and a smaller hoop, which allows you to embroidery on shirt cuffs, pants legs, etc.

I still haven't explored everything my 10000 can do, but I'm sure gonna keep trying!

I recently bought the MC 9000, which they have just started phasing out to be replaced by the 9500. Soooo, I got a great price ($1300) for an awesome machine. My guy is an online dealer (based in New Orleans) and is great to deal with... if you're still looking I would recommend him. Let me know and I will send you his link. (I don't want to be accused of soliciting your business... I'm just a satisfied customer. I actually just got a serger from him, too!)

HI julie
I might get the pc85000d or the ult2003d . The lady at this dealer said she might be able to find the ult2003d for the same price as the pc8500d. But it'll take about a month. So i patiently await for it's arrival :bluewink:
