Wow a teen with a serger, look out world. I only wish I could have had one when I was a teen. My sewing teacher brought a baby lock into class and showed us what you could do with it. I was determined to have my own as soon as I could. It took until I was 26 before I could afford it. Funny thing is that six years later I am still learning all the cool things I can do with it.

How much regular sewing experience do you have? Do you have a regular machine also?
Pillows are a breeze with a serger and just a touch of hand sewing and they require little time.
Pajama like pants and shorts whip up in a day, and if you cut several at one time you can get more than one done in a day. Of course you need a regular mahine to do the hems and elastic casings.
There are patterns out there made by Kwik Sew called Kwik Serge. You should check them out. Look under Kwik and Easy

Lettuce edging on T-shirts is a breeze with a serger.
The things you can make and do with a serger are endless.
