Hi girls. One of the best things to do when you are starting the Advent quilt is to look at the instructions and choose your fabrics. Label what you want to have for roof, window, door, etc. along with other pieces. Next, do all your cutting at once. I know some of those angles may have you scratching your head. Lay out the fabric pieces in the order Joanne has them in the diagrams. Pay particular attention to the fabric shapes Joanne has in her lesson. This helps a lot! Read the questions that have already been posted. Perhaps someone has already asked the one you were going to ask. But don't be shy about asking if something is not clear to you. That is why Joanne and I are here, to help and we are glad to do it. Post all questions in this beginner quilting forum so we can find them easily. Please post questions here rather than private messaging and emailing Joanne or I. We may not be able to get to our email until much later than you need your answer. Besides, we want to share as much information as we can. so that you can all have fun quilting. Did I leave anything out Jo? MaryW
