Finally, it is finished. This is what I made out of blue silk duppioni (sp) as sort of an overjacket.

I had one heck of a time with the sleeves and that L seam. Put it in and took it out twice. Then I left it over the holidays and when I went back to it, it went together like a dream. No problem at all.

I have also ordered the Italian Blouse, http://www.timmelfabrics.com/hinseitalianblouse.jpg to make from some linen I have. I want to wear something besides T shirts. I feel like a slob. :re:

I love the neckline on that Italian blouse by Loes Heins.. It is so elegant looking.. I cannot stand anything up tight on the front of my neck.. It feels like I will choke..I think it may be because I suffer from underactive thyroid gland..I would love to have that blouse in a black and white print of a random sort. (not a busy print) :monkey:

That Italian blouse pattern is lovely - you always have liked Loes Heins designs. I can't remember if you told us how the Artemis coat went together?( I might have the name wrong - the La Fred one)

Finally got time to take some pix of the Athena Blouse. They are not great and in every light the silk takes on a different hue. I am not happy at all with the buttons but it was the best I could find for now. I may take these off if I find something I like better.

The collar just begs for some embellishing but I wanted the fabric to be the focus. I will make this again from linen. I chose to have it as an overblouse and not lined.

Interesting way the sleeve goes in. Lovely colour Mary..and is that a pile of clutter I see lurking behind the door near the ironing table?

Oh, so sorry. I give tips, that doesn't mean I am necessarily neat at all times or even organized. :nah: It's impossible in my room.
