well as i have been reading the posts the past few days, and e-mailed Postcardgirl, i figured i would get this one going and organized and see how it goes.

This is going to be 5 month swap (why the odd number you say :bluesmile well this will take it from February to June, ending before summer holidays)

The rules will be simple for each month, spoil your partner with a package in value of approx 10 dollars, not including postage. i will send out a questionare to those that want to be invloved that MUST be filled out completely and e-mailed back to me.

i will be taking names till the end of January and everyone will partnered up by the 2nd or 3rd of February, just in time for valentines day. i will try partner up quilters with quilters and sewers with sewers, if possible.

I hope not to step on toes by doing this, but this first go around is going to be for members who have been around for awhile, and are frequent posters or those whom have participated in one of our other swaps before. We have had people come on board and register and sign up, and the vanish.

so let me know at <email address removed for privacy> if you want to be invloved, as that gives me your e-mail as well :bluewink:

i have a draft questionare written up, but let me me know what you would like to see on it, and what concerns any of you may have.

This sounds really nice. I love the FQ swaps, but this is a little more personal. Please count me in! Sewing or quilting is fine with me.
Thanks,

Hi Carman, I would like in on this one as well. Sounds like fun. Do we just go with the holiday of the month to decide what to send or do we have some sort of guidelines? Sorry if this has already been asked and answered. If you need my mailing info, just let me know. Quilting is preferred, but sewing is fine as well.
Thanks a bunch

I can understand limiting your swaps to people who have been around awhile. As a new person, are there any smaller swaps open to get into? I really like how active and friendly this group looks.

Ordered a few things online for Debby - hoping they'll get to her by V-Day - if the shop mails quickly it should be a problem - if worst comes to worst I can drive over to her house and drop it off as we're about 45 minutes from each other!

I, too, have some of Shari's goodies bought, but not quite finished. May run out afterwhile and see what I can find. Believe it or not, I printed up Shari's list and promptly misplaced it, so I am going on memory, and hoping Carman can send me another.....What a dunce I am :bang: :bang: By the way Shari, NOT TO worry if you can't get my package before Vday. no biggie.

Hi Holly, I got my wonderful package last Friday. It is great. I have been wanting to try that lotion for sometime, just never picked it up. Love the Lindor truffles, some of my favorites, and the throw looks beautiful in my living room. So soft and cuddly and I'm always cold so it is just perfect.
Thanks so much.

i got my swap over the weekend from Peggy. It was certainly a sunny spot in the New York Tundra..lol
There were some really nice rubber stamps. I have always wanted to try the acrylic stamps. A very useful magnifying ruler . I might have to keep it in my purse for trips to the fabric shop. The sweetest little metal tin full of shiny confetti and a pretty angel charm.
There was also a heart and jewel bookmark and the cutest plush love bug.
Thank you so much Peggy, I love it all. I am sorry yours just went out this weekend, but should be there soon. Thanks for being patient.
Angel hugs,

Hey Shari, it got my package and I was so excited to find a great Spring wall hanging pattern and great fabric to get started...I would never have thought about getting something like that....I guess maybe I am thinking much too hard about picking things out, but I DID have a super time last weekend and the Joann super store out Fox Chapel Waterworks...WOW it was stupendous, it put the one at Southland WAY to shame. I plan to drop your package in the mail Monday on my way home from work. I hope you get it before you leave for your Holiday. Hope you enjoy it, I had something else that didnt get packed in, unfortunately, but will send next time. Thanks again so much Shari, the pattern and fabric are beautiful. :bg: :bg:
