I have been doing the Quilt Blocks of the Month from Joann Fabric's. I have never done anything like this before, but I am having so much fun do it!!!!!!
I have other sewing to do, but I don't want to stop doing the quilts. Is it always so addictive????? My mind is racing with so many other ideas for quilts from my stash!!!!!!
I have been doing the block with Joann also, and having a blast with that too!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mary & Joann, you are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am with you on the fun...........I am doing my Joann's BOM and it is going so well. Between that and the house block, I am doing things I would have NEVER tried on my own. Did a log cabin block the other night and am wondering what has taken me so long? Can not believe I am sewing things on point and using all kinds of half square triangles..............I truly feel like I am quilting!

I highly recommend the BOM to anyone interested. I have been very pleased with the instructions, they are clear and easy to read and there are a lot of them. The fabric is cut really well. Now some of the colors are not ones I would have picked but..............at least they picked something as sometimes not knowing what colors to choose is what has kept me from trying something,

I think having done a few of the BOM before Joanne's block really helped when it came time to put it together...............

Thanks Mary, I have all those lessons nicely printed off and in protecter sheets in a binder.............guess I might have to dig them out sometime! LOL
My confidence is way up there so hard telling what I might try.........until I have a disaster and then I will come back down to real life here. :re:

Does anyone know about the "snippets" technique? It involves scraps of fabric and fusible web and quilting stitching, at least some times. I couldn't find anything on the internet except lists of books I can't afford and classes I cannot get to. If I have to make it up as I go along, I will, but I would like to have something I am aiming at! MariLynntx
