Sew What’s Up Presents

The Sew What’s New Archive

This archived content is from Mary Wilkins’ sewing and quilting message board “Sew What’s New,” which was retired in August 2007. It is being provided by “Sew What’s Up,” which serves as the new home for many members of “Sew What’s New.”

I love what Mary does with this website. I think it must be full time job and then some! I am happy to use the links at the top of the page to browse for sewing related items. I find interesting sites and help Mary defray costs at the same time. What I don't like, however, is when I click on a website for a quick look and it then refuses to let me click back to this one. Does anyone else experience this? The problematic one was Custom Clothing or something similar. It focuses on hip hop attire, not this retired lady's wardrobe of choice.

I know this happens. What they are doing is keeping you as a visitor. Most don't like the idea when they can't retrace their steps. I try to remember which sites do this, I don't go back. I do appreciate anyone who can visit these ads, it does help me out.

When you can't come back here just by just clicking on the big "back" button, you should be able to click on the little arrow next to it to open the drop-down box, then you should be able to click on the link here. It's an extra step and a pain, but I do it all the time (and like Mary said, I try not to go to those places again.)

sometimes if you click the back button a few times with speed, it backs you out of them, has worked a few times for me.

Thanks for the tip about using the little arrow by the big "back" button. I have never used it before but will now!

You're welcome! It's also very helpful if you're like me and click on different links and go several pages away, then you can look down the list of where you've been recently and just go back with one click instead of clicking the back button umpteen times!
