Hi, everyone! This is a new site to me. But, it's great! I just wanted to post an advertisement for my sewing business. I make children, babies', and women's clothing. I also do curtains, crib sheets, and other home decor items. My most popular items are my vintage-styled aprons, though. I have a ton of pictures if anyone wants to see some. I'll try to get them loaded on my post here, but until then just pm me and let me know if you want to see some. I am also getting started with historic wear, such as Civil War era day dresses and such and modest clothing for women and children. Not to mention, I can be commissioned to sew just about anything else that isn't already listed here as well. :-)

Danielle -

I am from New York State and congratulate you and wish you well on your sewing business!

I was contemplating and researching same here in the Buffalo area; may I ask if you work out of your home? Do you have insurance to pay if you work in the home or do your rent a space elsewhere? Also, do you charge for fittings, or do you measure once and offer a rate? I amj asking others, like yourself around the USA, to see what you are doing.

Thank you!

God Bless you!
May God Bless you!

Hi. I'm sorry. I haven't been on in a while. Yes, I work out of my home. And actually, I have recently started sewing for other online businesses. I think I might have to much work to handle! I don't pay insurance or anything. And, the cost of fittings I usually just add into the price of the garment as a whole. If you have any other questions, I'd be glad to help!

Danielle, I'd love to see your pictures! Your vintage aprons sound lovely! I love to do vintage baby quilts - usually redwork, with those 20's and 30's themed fabrics.

Would you do me the huge favor of going to www.homesteadingtoday.com to look at my pictures? I can't seem to figure out how to get them all on this reply message. But, at homesteadingtoday, go down the list of forums to Barter Board. Then, go back to about the third page, look for the post that reads, " I'm BACK! Handmade clothes, etc....". It is posted by tngirl. That is my screenname on that site. You can see all of my aprons on the pictures there. Thank you for the interest!

Hi,
I'd really like to see your vintage aprons. I followed the link you gave and it shows pattern pictures but I didn't find any of the ones you had actually sewn. Is there a different link required?
Thanks
