Hi everybody. It is good to be here. I must explain why I haven't been around for the last couple of days.

I have been around, just not right here. I have been trying to load up the new quilt block, and pant lesson. Not doing very well at that, I may have to get my daughter to help out. Did I mention you may have to be patient. :bluewink:

Hubby fell during our last storm and ripped the tendons in his right hand. He has had surgery and is now recuperating at home. His meds are not agreeing with him at all. One batch was not strong enough and he had a lot of pain. The next batch were too strong and he was on another planet.

He is going to try and go without for a while to see what happens. We have been back and forth to see the surgeon and family dr. along with a few trips to the pharmacy.

He has his right hand in a cast. This makes him a very cranky man. He can't do much at all.

Our daily routine is shot to ----and my day just flies by before I even know it.

My grandson is trying to help out the best he can and is so worried about his grandfather.

Anyway, just to let you know. I think I have to work tonight so I will be around later on this evening. I am so far behind. :re: thanks for listening.

Mary, I sure hope everything works out for your husband. It sounds like you have your hands full. Family and health always comes first! As for all of us, we have more time to do other things, like housework! LOL Or other projects, heck I can think of a lot of other things I could-should be doing! You and your family are in my thoughts.

If you need anything Mary, I will try to help across the miles. Take care of your husband. We sewers/quilters/crafters can keep each other entertained or do the work that we should be doing (that's no fun).
Take Care!

Happy sewing/quilting/crafting

Hope you husband gets better fast. I know how it is to be in pain. I had surgery on both hands and that isn/t any fun.

That's all.
Just take it easy.
We can work on other stuff...for example, I decided to try your Irish Blessing wallhanging. Just the thing I need to hang by my front door!
Sending you a BIG HUG.

Mary --
I was going to say the same thing MO did. You take care of yours and we'll take care of each other -- I'll try to keep Jan in line.

I object to that last remark...I am the very soul of discretion. SEE  that's me, once I was let out of the corner.

Be well, Mary.

Mary, I did not see this post until just this minute. I am so sorry you have had such a rough time and surely hope your husband is mending well. We all have been having fun with the block not being here, when we check, but I think there is plenty for us to do. Don't give us another thought until things are better where you are. We appreciate you and want you to take care of yourself.
(((((hugs))))) from my little corner of the world.

I think we can police ourselves for a few days....you just take care of you and your family...having a hand in a cast is NO fun...(especially if it's your dominant one...been there done that... :whacky: )

Oh dear I relate..............got a hubby with a huge bandage on his right hand from surgery on Tuesday. He had problems with his meds too, they made him really sick to his stomach, so much so he stopped taking them. Now he has come down with a chest cold. So much for anything getting done here either, although I don't have a quilt lesson to load, my house is going to rack and ruin. Neither of us is getting much sleep and that doesn't help.

Mary, I will be thinking of you and hubby. I think we are just going to concentrate on the hand and let the rest wait for us..........it will wait I know that. All three of you take care of you for now and vent when you feel like you need to.

My kids are a lot older and have been a lot of help but you can just see the upset in their eyes.........Mom and Dad aren't supposed to get sick or injured, they are always just there. The little ones have been great, it is a big thing to help out at 2 and 4. They fight over who is going to get Papa his paper or the tv remote.

Anything any of us can do for you...........just let us know. (except load the quilt block or sewing lesson.........I am computer stupid so would be NO help!)
