Kwik Sew has a new book out just for women's clothing. Pants, skirts, tops and blouses. They have also printed on both sides of the pattern so you have to trace off the size you want. Sheesh, that doesn't appeal to me much. It is bad enough following the multi-sized lines without that. Then again, I guess it keeps costs down. They also have a free pattern on the site for a nice clutch purse in 2 sizes. MaryW

I probably dont need to buy any more kwik sew patterns as I must have half their catalogue plus the books already. Mary the patterns that come with the books would be master patterns and I would always trace a pattern off, in fact I have never cut unto a kwik sew pattern I always trace it and do the usual tweaks for fit Now the big four patterns on that flimsy tissue I fold back or use the "eye-of-faith" when I am cutting them out. Skye PS you might like to know it is midday here and 28degrees C I am not sure what that would be in F but it is sunny and very warm - the cats are giving a good imitations of dead cat postures so my pins are safe. |

I just bought Kwik Sew's master pattern book for toodlers -- I am impressed! Not only does it provide easy to follow directions, but there are lots of tips on accessorizing, changing, etc. that should allow me to make my DGD clothes that even her "yuppie"-wannabe mommy will like (she prefers brand name clothes, which is too bad since her budget is non-existent!). I'm looking forward to working with the patterns. |
