I AM a Serging Woman of Great Magnificance I'll have you know! Just not very experienced as yet. I did treat myself to a sewing morning and managed to not follow the instructions properly for my pink hoodie such as I spent the afternoon as Unpicking Woman.. I still have the sleeves to set in. Rosie bought me a funky handbag and Katie a Thunderbirds video - grand! We had a meeting to go to Friday night so we decided that we would have a DVD wine and.......night on Saturday. We got a DVD out but haven't watched it yet as Splash! was onthe tele and I love that film so tonight is our DVD night - more wine - and we are going to watch Troy (hands up all those who like Brad Pit, even if he did have a leg double). Tony is out tomorrow night so I'll try and get a bit more done then. Tomorrow I start my new job as "Woman in White Coat Who lives in the Cupboard" as the hours are more than I am used to working there will be home readjustments to be made. INteresting!

There are 200g or less left of the gargantuan bar of chocolate and a beautiful bunch of flowers in my room. And a friend came round with a dustbin bag of wool and said "take your pick" so I am also knitting Rosie's birthday socks - just turned the heel on the first one, exotic pink stipes naturelment.

The rest is for me to know and you to imagine :bluewink:

I had an auto 'Happy birthday' e-mail from the forums - that was nice!
love and kisses, Jan

By the by, any idea why the site is not using my avatar, signature or post count any more? I feel like a non person! I miss my big grin and sparkling eyes! It is all still on my user profile though I did have to log into the message boards as it had forgotten me again after the boards died on me yesterday.

There are a few things we still have to repair on the boards. Your avatar is one of them. Sorry. :bluesad:

I know you'll get there, or I'll just have to come up with something equally scarey!
