Have any of you ever made a T-Shirt quilt? I am going to make my first one and need all the information that you can supply. I'd also like to see pictures of your T-Shirt quilt if you have any. I know that I need stabilizer - but I'm not sure what that is. Is it just plain while cotton fabric or is it something that is ironed onto the T-shirt cuts? Looking forward to your replies. Thank you for your help. |

I am working on a t shirt quilt. After you cut your shirt into a square you need to use iron on stabilizer. I used black because my shirts are black. I put a border on one side and the bottom to make them the same size than sew together like you would for a quilt. Sandwich with batting and backing fabric and quilt. If you do a google search for t shirts quilts there are lots of sites with pictures.
