If you can start the day without caffeine or pep pills,

If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,

If you can resist complaining and boring people with you troubles,

If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it,

If you can understand when loved ones are too busy to give you time,

If you can overlook when people take things out on you, when through no fault of your, something goes wrong,

If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,

If you can face the world without lies and deceit,

If you can conquer tension without medical help,

If you can relax without liquor,

If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,

Then, you are almost as good as your dog.

Bit like my cat then Chrys, the jumpingist Cat in Creation. She likes to play that game where you run around the room without ever touching the floor. My head is NOT a good jumping off point.

My cat used her claws as crampons and nearly got to the ceiling without damaging the wallpaper. I think we have to rename her Gollum. Unfortunately she was startled by my daughters "Good God, Look at the cat!" and fell off, onto the radiator thereby bending a rib cartilege inverted. She now feels like she has a paper clip sticking out of her chest. And is still as fast and stupid. She has burnt off her eyebrows, twice.

Jack Russels are notoriously bonkers.

Lucy may be bonkers but she's not as dumb as that eyebrowless cat.

You can say that again, she climbed into the microwave tonight...she's already been in the dishwasher, the tumble dryer, the cleaning cupboard, the cupboard under the stairs and the washing machine. That just leaves the oven to go...

My cats like to play the run through the room and not touch the floor game too.

They also like to play a game where they stretch out on the steps and don't let the humans pass. They find it highly amusing when their humans use colorful expletives to pry them off the stairs.

My babies don't like the kitchen appliances. They're especially terrified of the dishwasher for some reason? They are rather fond of the pantry though and that's not even where I keep the cat food. Go figure...

I say that my pets are way more entertaining than cable. I think we need two dogs and a horse to go with our cats. My husband, and city ordinances, disagree....
