Hello everyone. Are you ready for a really fun challenge. This should cheer us all up during this long winter season. You can't help but giggle at this one.

Decorate your toilet seat. Yes, you did read it right. This challenge is to see who does the best job of decorating their toilet seat.

Make a cover that will attach with either drawstring, elastic or other closure. You are encouraged to embellish this cover with almost anything BUT machine embroidery. This will keep it fair to those who do not have an embroidery machine. Voters will be asked to vote for the one they like the most. Maybe it will be humorous, maybe dramatic or pretty. The choice is yours. This is a fun project so lets really let ourselves go with this. Use your imagination and try something new and crazy!

You have two weeks, all pictures must be sent to me by Feb. 18/05 at midnight.

Send your one picture of your entry. Once all the pictures are posted we can begin voting.

Prize: Simple Soft Furnishings by Katrin Cargill. Retail Value $24.95 U.S.

Oh this is gonna be FUN!! We just got a new house in November and the bathroom is the most violent shade of turquoise....I'm thinking either "Fiesta" or "Fish/Beach".

LOL. Teresa you said your challenge will be to get it to fit! MINE TOO! ROFL!
Never done one of these before but sounds neat! Will certainly have to start brainstorming.
Good luck to everyone................

Oh good another brave soul to try this! LOL Yes Dorene, it is going to be fun to make it fit! LOL I started on mine tonight and decided to stop for the night already! :nervous: my toilet seat is a padded one so it's thick, and has flowers on it. LOL My bathroom is yellow and has the old tub on feet, our vanity is made out of an old dresser. So really no matter what I do it should work in there! LOL :whacky:
Sorry to hear you have a funeral to go to. I hope everything goes ok for you.

This will be my first time ever "challenge". What a way to start :bg: !

Let's see...today's the 10th...think I can do it. (Come on brain...wake up and get workin'...)

Thanks, Mary for the idea. Tough week. Needed a pick-me-up. Good Luck to all my cyber friends. You're all "winners" in my books!

I'm not up for this one, as a non-toilet seat cover user I would have no use for it afterwards.
For inspiration , however, I offer:

I don't think this is going to be our most useful thing either, more for fun than anything. My hubby is a plumber. When this idea came around, I grabbed it. Donna thought of it.

hello again to each of you. Had a very busy week! Funeral is over.On the good side of that we got to see our granddaughter. She is so adorable. Our cat (Annie) had her surgery (very bad torn ACL) and it went well. One more trip to the City on Monday and we will be good to go hopefully! Then I can get back into my sewing! I am so happy! Looked and Looked at work today for ideas for my toilet seat and came up with ZERO. Just not brain storming enough, I am thinking! :nah: Am too tired tonight to sew but after church tomorrow hopefully my machine will be singing to me! Teresa, I am anxious to see yours! Get yours done so I can have an idea on how to do mine! LOL~! When it is Mary W we have to have you our pic? Please let me know! Thanks! Dorene aka(oklahomanana)

Hi Mary,
I have my toilet seat cover done, and I was wondering where do we email it to? Also, my cover is a 2 sided one, the outside and the inside :whacky: can I send in 2 pictures, or 1 picture with both on it. I can do it either way you want. I don't use toilet seat covers, but now I may have too! LOL I was trying on the cover and my toliet seat that is done in tapestry material, and it fell apart! LOL  So now, I may just have to use the cover! :dave:
Thanks!

I have got to first finish a purse for a great niece and get it in the mail tomorrow! Then on to this toilet seat thingy.
Happy Valentines to all the Quilters tomorrow!

:bluesmile Yippee! I have my toilet seat done~ I got the purse made and the toilet seat cover done all in one day. The t. seat is not that great to me but it is ME, and I like it. So I guess that is all that it is suppose to do is please me, since it is my bathroom. Hubby has his own. If you like purple it is here! I will send pics of my bathroom when the contest is over so you can have a peek inside.
Mary, I have enjoyed this so much~ You inspired me to cover up that ole ugly seat I had. It did not match anything in there and now my cover matches. Thanks for the inspiration! Dorene

Actually I love my bathroom, it looks old. LOL Matches the rest of our house....old. LOL Can't wait to see all these covers when they are done!
