Thanks Norma. My son is a fisherman and thought this would be a cute quilt for him so I downloaded January's but haven't gotten it made yet but want to be sure to get the new one downloaded too.

I like the fabric in this.........I look at the hot colors and the dots and striped fabric and I love it but don't know what I would use it for...........and this would be the perfect quilt to just go for it. Of course I still need to do the flower block..........maybe this weekend.

I have my grandchildren ages two and four all week while Mom and Dad work so I understand!! DD and her husband are house hunting for a bigger house so they have been here a little more this week. I wonder sometimes how I managed to keep a clean house and do other things when I had three of my own because not a lot gets done when they are here. Nana does a lot of playing.

Hubby is home recovering from hand surgery so not much quilting or anything else got done this week around here.

What part of Phoenix do you live in?

Enjoy those babies and good luck on sewing this weekend!

Where is the link to the fish block? I clicked on the link below your name but I can't get it to load. It might be my computer's firewall-its a pain sometimes. :throw:

It looks like they are having server issues. It probably won't be fixed until the tekkies are back to work. But, keep trying.

Hi Norma,

I know, I wonder how I managed to get everything done with my three when they were little too! But I did and now I can't get anything done when I have the grandkids. Maybe that's because now we give ourselves permission to just enjoy them and let other things go? Things we didn't allow ourselves when we were raising ours?

I'm in North Central Phoenix-between Peoria & Tbird on 7th Street across from North Mountain by the Pointe Tapatio.

Got one block cut out last night and decided I didn't like the colors so am headed to the fabric store this weekend (sometime anyway) to see what I can find to replace a couple of the pieces. Need to get 3 made in all since I decided to make 3 quilts so I had 2 for Christmas gifts.

I see you are from Mesa, hear they have lots of quilt & craft type shops out that way but I get lost after Scottsdale Road so haven't ever really "wandered" around out there.

Enjoy the little ones and happy sewing!

I knew I should have printed out those fish instructions when I first saw them.....hope they get it fixed soon.

We have a lot in Mesa as far as quilt shops, fabric stores and the like. We also have a large number of folks who shop at these places so things go fast. I live in east Mesa and we have a large snowbird population so the Joann's near me is always packed, always a mess and very busy especially on sale days...........so we go to Scottsdale to the one over there. Last week we were in Phoenix and stopped at one on Thomas and I was amazed at things they had left that our store sold out of right away!

We are going to the used book sale at the fair grounds tomorrow, have you ever gone to that.............it is crazy but a book lovers candy store!! I even found some quilting magazines there last year for a dime each!

Good luck on your blocks.............think I might not get to mine until hubby goes back to work.

The March block is up. It is really different, not quite as colorful. I am sure looking forward to seeing what the entire quilt is. It is only a six month thing so there are only three more to go.

Happy fishy sewing.

The final block and the quilt top assembly instructions are up. You have until June 30th to download, after that they have the pattern for sale.

It is so cute...........love the fish and the waves.

Are you still doing this one Lyn?? I plan to when I get some of these other UFO's under control here!

Hi Norma, How ya been?

I've got all the months downloaded and plan to do it but like you, have some projects I want to finish up first. It's really cute and will definitely be one that I do! I may end up making 3......I have a feeling that when one grandchild sees it I'll have to make for the others too LOL.

Thanks for reminding us it was up......it would have been just like me to forget that it was there and then end up having to buy the pattern! :whacky:
