What's with these guys. Do they really think a bunch of old ladies that spend most of their free time at a sewing machine want to look at their dirty pictures?

Look on the biright side Mary, they obviously think we are not dead from the neck down - perhaps they are looking for advice on where a little tuck or snip would be most appropriate! :bluewink:
I have never seen anything on the site related in this way - perhaps you are screening it well - the only thing I have noticed is people spamming you for selling stuff.
On the renaissance tailor sewing group you have to register to be a part of the group and the moderator examines your profile before allowing you access to the boards. Would that be of any use in screening out unwanteds? It would make more work for the mod - I don't know how many people register a day to make it worthwhile thinking about - and whether they would just fake up an ID anyway. You could always look at <email address removed for privacy> to see the type of questionaire you have to fill out.

Do you happen to have a "BIIIIIIIIG" lake in you backyard? Saw on another posting you have "water" in you back yard. If you do I am soooooooooooo jealious

How about the spam e-mails for enlarging body parts we don't have? Or making them work better? Or last longer?

The porn thing is why DH and I cancelled our cable and went to DSL. I couldn't handle all of the trash popping up on our cable everytime I was online and it continued no matter what kind of security, etc. DH put on our computers. We have really high security with DSL and I don't have that problem anymore and to me it is just as fast as the cable at least in the part of the country where I live.

Patsy I had DSL and I got just as much with it as I do with the Cable. I really think some of these jerks get your email address off of sites you post them on. I'll have to be more careful of that. Cox filters a lot of those out but I still get some. AOL filters it out some also but after 7 years of having AOL I cancelled it yesterday. I had AOL for the kids because it was safer for them to surf but I will watch them now when they come it's too expensive to have two services.

I get a lot less porn sent to my e-mail than I used to. Now I just delete it but it used to really bother me because there was so much.
Susie -- when we had AOL it was the worst. They must have improved.

I have a pop-up stopper on my system and it has stopped 99.9% of the spam on my system. I know that they have a free one that you can download.
www.panicware.com plus I have put a spam filter on my e-mails.

First of all let me say that the above message was a hoot. I don't have a problem with the email from porn sites. Got my setting on private only
Cuts down the stupid emails from those guys. Now for the artists of those sites. They have nothing better to do because they have no life. And their mothers would smack them if they actully knew what they did to pass the time of day.
