I'm considering purchasing Embird and wondered if it will let me scan images into the digitizing. I want to scan images with the software. Will it let me resize and correct density for me? Is Sfumato for making embroidery out of photos? Thank you very much.

I would appreciate any input on the software in general as well.

thanks. ktmm164

I have Embird and the Sfumato. I don't have digitizing. With the Sfumato, I did scan a photo of my husbands motorcycle in. I resized, did the stitch destincy, split the design, saved it than used my Ultimate Box card to be able to use in my embroidery machine. Turned out good.

I don't have digitizing but I use Embird regularly for sizing and adjusting density of designs. Also, for splitting and joining.
It is great for lettering as you can buy fonts and size them as large or small as you want.
The great thing about Embird is the Iconizer. It allows you to see a tiny picture of what a design looks like in your folders. You don't have to remember the 'name' of the design you can just find it by the picture.
