ok they are upgrading my ellure to an estante II (sp)...it is used but comes with 20 year MF warrenty and 3 years in store warrenty...i pick it up today...they upgraded my palette from the used palette 2.0 that i brought to a brand new 6.0 because i have had to wait a week for my machine....great deal....

Now i want to start downloading designs and such how do i do that....

Also how do you use newsgroups...a woman at the store gave me the newsgroup
alt.binaries.crafts.pictures and i have joined it thru my provider verizon on outlook but have no idea how to use it....

Any help ladies

Downloading is the easy part...you just click on the zipped folder and save it to your hard drive. The thing you need to have is Winzip to unzip the folders (if you don't already have it).

The other thing you need to do is make sure you're saving the files to a place you can remember easily so you can find them again. Here is a link to a program that will make a bunch of folders for embroidery designs so you can just save the design into the correct folder:

I have a spideman that is a jef file....i cant open it in my palette...how do i open it so i can convert it

If your palette program can only read PES (or whatever format) you need to convert your designs first. You can either download the program here:

Or you could download the trial version of Embird here and when the 30 days is up, purchase the program:

If you are using PE Design, you can open other files using "import" instead of open under the "file" menu. It allows you to open several different types of formats, not just pes.
