March Button Swap This is once again a swap open to everyone. NO prior swap required. This is a partner swap. Minimum button requirement: 10. It is pretty simple. Pick some buttons and send them. The one trick is that the buttons must be original and not just your run of the mill white or black buttons. The buttons must match. Don’t just grab ten random buttons from your stash. I am not requiring that they be new either. You know those buttons that you saved from your dad’s old shirt because they were just so cool, yet you have never found a use for them in 30 yrs. Send them on to someone else. Are you a thrift store shopper? Check out those old shirts on the clothing rack. There could be some really cool buttons there too. Now for the really exciting part! I will be giving a prize to the swapper who finds the neatest buttons. Before you send out your buttons send me a picture of the buttons either by e-mail or snail mail. Please make sure that the picture is clear enough that people can see the details of the button. Once the swap is complete and I have received all the pictures I will post a poll and people can vote for the buttons they like the best. Sign up Date: March 1st (Partners will not be assigned until after this date) Mail out Deadline: March 20th This gives you lots of button hunting time! Happy Hunting!!! I am working on partners right now and I must say you ladies do make it difficult.  I like to match partners from different parts of the country so that the odds of you getting something you already have are less. Well, this swap, out of 8 people we have 3 from Michigan and 2 from Maryland. Look for e-mail today. Don't forget to take a picture of your buttons before you send them. You can send the picture to me via e-mail or snail mail. If you need my snail mail address I will send it to you. Just let me know. Gina

You don't really have to. Just makes it more friendly . Plus if you don't know what kind of buttons to get talking to you partner might help.

Carolyn, I got your buttons yesterday. Wow! I think I'll have to be careful where I put some of them. Wouldn't want to deflate myself. Yours should go out tomorrow.

I didn't realize we were supposed to contact our swap partners either. Will do when I get home tonight. Have the buttons, just need to take a picture before I send them out. Hope to get them out in the next day or two. Will post when I mail.

Gina, The scissors I got I just thought they were so cute. Than I found the cherries, I live in cherry country, and decided I had to send something from my part of the country. The other package was just a mix I thought were cute. I hope you enjoy them and can use them. Carolyn

Summersechos, I'm still shopping! I hope to find something tomorrow, as we are taking our daughter back to school. She was home on spring break. There is a nice Joanne's and a few quilt stores in Mt. Pleasant. Hopefully some of them will be open on a Sunday.  Have a good weekend! Happy sewing/quilting/crafting

Peggy, I am so sorry that i have not communicated with you...things have been crazy here this week and the buttons i ordered never arrived...but i went out to Joann's (only because i was near there...i dont really shop there anymore) and picked up some buttons for you so i will send those out tomorrow morning when i get to work....i will send them two day UPS so expect them Wednesday...and when the others arrive that order just for you I will send those also..... I have to say this is the first time i have ordered from ebay and not recieved my stuff promptly... Jada |

My kids and I made them with Shrinky Dinks. I printed out the design using a print shop program. I had been wanting to try making buttons for awhile and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. We had a lot of fun. Everyone walked around the house for days saying oink, oink.

I still plan to post all the buttons and have us vote on the most interesting ones so send them on to me. I've been really busy lately and just haven't figured out how I am going to do it yet.
