I am trying to sew on Sew Comfy knit for PJ's. I have a PFaff 1475 with the even feed attachement, 2 different kind of stretch stiches. Well when I use the stretch stiches it stretches the fabric slightly. I have the even feed attachemnt in place. I haven't sewn on stretch knits in a long time and this is becoming a nightmare for me. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Are you tugging on the fabric?

try reducing the pressure your presser foot puts on the fabric and increase your stitch length,

I have a Pfaff 1475 and I use the IDt and a very narrow zigzag stitch and I don't have a problem, I do not use the stretch stitches. If you are using the straight stitch- lenghten it to 3. There is no way to decrease the pressure on the presser feet on this machine. Hope this works for you.

Integrated dual feed technology ( IDT- for short), you said you were using it, its the even feed attachment located behind the presser foot. I use it for all sewing except the decorative stitches.

You might want to try using a knit edge or teflon foot when sewing on knits.
I have a Pfaff and have not had any problems. Hope this helps.
Happy Stitching!
