Is the next pants fitting lesson going to be posted soon? Please, please, please!! :bg:

One of my New Year's goals is to create "Perfect Pants." For me, this means pants that fit, pant construction techniques that I'm proud of, and confident that I can create lovely pants for work or play.

I have PMB, but have never been satisfied with the results. I know the problem isn't in the software, but my own lack of knowledge on how to get the pants to fit right--I don't know where to tweak the program because I don't understand how to make a good fitting pant.

I have my Burda pattern (No. 8039). It is traced on Swedish Tracing Paper. My measurements are taken. I set up a notebook for my notes and records. I have a box full of nice, but inexpensive fabric to make test pants with.

Next, I need to transfer the adjustment lines on the pattern, but then I need the next lesson!

Yes, we are working on it right now! 12 diagrams so it is labor intensive. Many thanks to www.timmelfabrics for this huge learning curve.

I remember there was a discussion about what classes we would be interested in taking online, but I didn't read any announcement about a class being launched.

I looked at Timmel Fabrics, but I don't see a pant sewing lesson included on the Home Page links. I must be out of it! I'd like to know when online courses are being offered. Is there an e-mail list or do I just keep checking the "Garment Construction". I usually do, but I must have missed this announcement.

I'd appreciate finding out about accessing this and future lessons.
Many thanks,
Amy

Patsy:
Thank you very much for your reply. If you can believe this, I never knew there was a home page (realized you were directing me to Sew What's New not Timmel Fabrics' pages) other than this actual forum!

Not sure how I originally found this forum, but I must have bypassed the home page containing all the extra info en route. I also didn't realize there was a Yahoo group, so I just signed up for the Newsletter, etc.
