-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm new here and hope I'm posting in the right place.( This time) Wanted to enter the contest on a favorite craft. I love Quilting, it seems every part of it fits my mood or the weather. I can hand quilt and be covered up at the same time on a chilly day or applique on a hot day. I have a design wall where I pin up what I'm working on and if I get bored I can flip it around and start a new project. I have even gone as far as quilting pockets on nursing Scrub tops I've made for my daughter. I think my favorite was I spy quilts made from all the fabrics from previous clothing items for the grankids and their favorite things. |

Oh, quilting has to be my very favorite too. Whether hand or machine piecing and quilting, machine embroidery or hand embroidery, I just love every part of it. And to think my first quilt [all done by hand] took me 20 years, lol! I made every mistake in the book on that one....didn't know a thing about sewing. I drew my stitching lines on the fabric, so that I could get nice straight lines, and did them in INK. I had to get a pretty ribbon and stitch it down over the seams when I got the top pieced, as the ink showed through. "onward through the fog"

My favorite craft has been quilting for a few years but now that I have this embroidery machine, I have to say that now my favorite has changed to the machine embroidery. I just love doing ornaments, bowls and wall hangings and all sorts of things. It has been so much fun. I still, of course incorporate the two together to make it double the fun.
Have A Wonderful Day!! Sherry
