Hello everyone, I have been reading all your posts and have enjoyed them all. I thought I would tell you about a project I do for each of my grandchildren when they turn 12. I make them an afagan for their beds with their initial in it. I make it out of granny squares 12 inches square. The size is 5 blocks wide by 6 blocks long. I usually try to make it in their favorite color (s). The initial is in a contrasting color so it stands out. So far I have done 4 and am just starting on my 5th one. This one will be very special in that is for a granddaughter that will be 14 in August. Why didn't she get it when she was 12? Well at the time she was 12 we had no idea where she was. Her mother took her away from us when she was 8 months old and only since January have we been able to see her and have her with us on weekends. She loves black, so her initial will be in black and I'm not sure what the reast will be yet, but I am wanting to make it warm and cheery. Thanks for letting me tell you about this crafty thing I do.

Well, my favorite craft at the moment is quilting - if you want to consider that a craft. However, I'm in a temporary sewing room and that makes quilting, or any kind of sewing, challenging. I wish I could make the quilt as fast I can look at one & dream about it.
