My neighbour bought the system 2 weeks ago. Based on bust measurement and widest hip measurement. and a special tapemeasure to draft patterns from small diagragm. Any one using or used it? SHe is away and told me that I can draft a pattern for me if I feel so inclined. Is it worth the effort? Or should I just stick to my tried and true patterns and play with my new cover stitch machine Skye |

I purchased this system years ago. It is an easy way of making a custom pattern to fit your personal measurements. I used it to design formal dance dresses for my daughters when they went too prom. I didn't have to make any adjustments to their dress. It fit them perfectly. I like this system. I need to draft a new pants pattern for myself, since my waistline seems to be expanding. You really should have someone measure you, so you have correct measurements. I can't measure myself accurately. If you measure yourself wrong, the pattern will not be correct.

Hmmm... I don't remember which one it was. I'll have to go back through the book and look. The only thing that I did find difficult in using this system, is laying out the pattern for cutting. I was use to store bought patterns and them showing me how to lay out the pieces. It takes some playing around or just make sure you have purchased extra material or can go back to the store and purchase more if you need it. Does it still have the books with the pictures of all of the patterns? You can also mix them up for your own custom look. Happy sewing/quilting/crafting

I attended an afternoon seminar years ago and bought everything they were selling. I did use a few of their patterns, and they fit perfectly--the sleeves especially went in like a dream, easiest I've ever tried. The one problem for me back then, and the reason why I discontinued buying their patterns was that I need instructions to tell me what to sew first, what's the next step and then how to put it all together. I'm not experienced enough to know the steps, although I am learning fast on my own now and have some books that help me figure out which step follows which. I'm almost at the point of taking out the Lutterloh and giving it a try once again. Amy |

That is a good point about no instructions. However, I have been sewing for 40 mumble years so should be ok. 17 yr DD has hijacked my sewing machine thisa afternoon so my planned new top will have to wait. I may get a chance to do some pattern drafting next weekend so I will give the system a go Thanks Skye |
