I would like to make an Amish Stripe Quilt....has anyone ever made one of these??
I did find a kit onlie but it isn't the colors that I would like to use....
Anyhelp would be great!

Would that be along the same line as the Roman Stripe? then you go choose your own colors.

Amish "plain" clothing is made with solid (usually dark) fabric that is black, or from the green, red, blue, purple part of the "color wheel" (no yellow or orange). Amish-colored quilts use these fabrics along with solid white and off white (light tan -- sometimes called tea-stain, or paper-bag
http://www.geocities.com/pcpiecers/romanstripe.html shows a roman stripe.

The Roman Stripe pattern is considered a beginner quilt so go for it. :bg:
